Citizens Bank & Trust

LOCATED AT 814 BANK STREET

Citizens Bank & Trust, located at 814 Bank Street, is a renovation of the former Tennessee Valley Bank building. Originally built in 1910, the building that began it's life as a bank is once again home to a banking institution.

The 3,200-square-foot, two-story building features a stylish wood banister on the second floor overlooking a combination of imprinted cement and wood floors with two old working vaults.

A pair of large chandeliers will harken visitors back to the time when the building first opened. The interior of the bank features a reception area, a glass conference room and six offices. A kitchen and two restrooms are housed in the back.

Originally, the building was built to house the Decatur branch of the Tennessee Valley Bank (TVB) in 1910. In its 110+ years, the TVB building has also been the home of First National, Wilson Photography Studio, Crump Camera Shop and, most recently, Inglis House.
